The role of trustee with Newport Citizens Advice will give you an opportunity to contribute to the work of a much respected service that helps thousands of the residents of Newport every year.
A trustee shares in the oversight of the governance of the charity to ensure it continues to fulfil its obligations under relevant laws and regulations and continues to perform its role in the county with the support of its funders. This is especially important as we emerge from the pandemic and work to ensure we properly identify the needs of our community, exploit all means to meet those needs and collaborate with others in the County and our neighbours who can help us achieve these objectives.
These opportunities would particularly suit those with some relevant managerial or professional experience with an enthusiasm for the promotion of social justice able to support and oversee the work of our volunteers and our small team of staff.
We invite applications from anyone over the age of 18. We are committed to improving the diversity of our Board and welcome applications from all ages, genders and ethnic backgrounds. Applicants must be able to confirm their eligibility to become a trustee. Please see here the link to guidance on who can be a trustee of a charity.
